Christmas shopping for someone who lives for Lake Martin? Good news — lake people are the easiest people on your list. Everything they love comes back to the water. Here's what actually gets used, from stocking stuffers to the one gift they'll talk about all year.
Stocking Stuffers (Under $25)
-
Lake Martin stickers and decals
Laptops, coolers, boat windows, truck back glass — lake people put stickers on everything. Cheap, easy, always a hit. -
A can cooler
Nobody wants a warm drink on the water. A Lake Martin can cooler is the stocking stuffer that gets used every single weekend. -
A Lake Martin ornament
For the tree at the lake house — or the "real" house for bringing the lake home. An ornament with the lake map on it is personal without being expensive.
Under $50
-
A tee they'll actually wear
Soft, lightweight, broken-in feel. Nobody wants a stiff shirt in Alabama heat — and nobody wants a cheap one that falls apart by July. Look for the good cotton. -
A trucker hat for the boat
Sun protection that looks good in every dock photo. Dad hats and truckers are the uniform of Lake Martin summers. -
An insulated tumbler
Keeps coffee hot through the morning fishing trip and cocktails cold through the afternoon float. Honestly the most-used item at any lake house.
The Good Stuff ($50+)
-
A hoodie for cold mornings on the dock
Spring and fall mornings at the lake start chilly. A heavy, soft hoodie is the most-reached-for item in any lake house closet from October through March. -
Lake Martin wall art
A map print of the lake turns any room into a love letter to the water. Perfect for the lake house — or for the office of someone counting days until the weekend. -
A cozy blanket
For the couch after a long day on the water. The lake house blanket gets more use than any throw in the "real" house. -
A puzzle for rainy weekends
When the weather turns, a good puzzle brings the whole crew to the table. A Lake Martin puzzle is a house favorite that comes out every winter.
For the Dog
-
Lake dog gear
Bandanas, bowls, toys for the four-legged first mate. If their dog has been to Goat Island, they need the gear to prove it.
The Big One
-
The lake house starter kit
Bundle it yourself: a tumbler, a tee, a hat, and a wall print. Wrap it in a tote bag and you've got a Christmas gift that looks like you spent way more than you did.
Everything at Market George is made to order — printed when you buy it, not warehoused. Order early for Christmas; custom production takes a few extra days, but it's worth the wait.
